       Cindy (Cynthia) Triplett is an artist who is painting in the aqueous mediums of watercolor and acrylic, and in oils.  "Light brings life to a subject in paintings", is a philosophy she uses while developing paintings in transparent watercolor and acrylic glazes.  She works in the outdoors painting en plein air and inside her studio, focusing on larger pieces. A painter since 1978, plein air landscapes and contemporary abstracts make up the body of work she has been creating during the past two decades.
       Many current works are found on Cindy's website under the Paintings category, Main Page. She has received awards from juried art shows in California and Oregon.  She holds a Bachelor's degree in Art with a Painting emphasis, had studied under Robert Alston, Abstract Expressionist, at Southern Oregon University in Ashland Oregon.  With a Master's degree in Education, Cindy taught art education to secondary students at the Warner High School in Warner Springs, California. She has taught watercolor classes through community education programs at colleges and through private lessons in her home studio.
       Her work is documented on the DVD "Plein Air Painters of Santa Ysabel, California" a documentary by Peter Maxwell, 2008. Cindy Triplett has judged a professional painting competition and school art shows for children.  Her paintings are included in private collections in the USA, Canada and Jamaica.
