Art has always been the focus of my professional career. From working as a beginning illustrator, to designing visual merchandising elements and experiencing a twenty plus year career as supervisor of the Chicago Public Library’s graphics and exhibition design department, I was fortunate to have creativity as my companion. My full time fine art career began several years ago during which I have, with my husband, exhibited in six two person shows at the Palette and Chisel Academy of Fine Arts, and in many juried and group exhibitions. I attended the American Academy of Art, Lill Street Ceramic Studio, and the Palette and Chisel Academy of Fine Arts, all in Chicago. My work has been exhibited in the Illinois Watercolor Society Annual Members 1999, 2000, and 2001 Exhibitions, the Adirondacks 19th Annual Exhibition of American Watercolors in 2000, the Degas Pastel Society 2000 International Exhibition and 2001 Members Show, the Pastel Society of the West Coast 2002, 2003 and 2004 International Exhibitions, and the 2006 Master Pastelist and Signature Members Exhibition, the High Risk Gallery “Interpretations” group show, and the Palette and Chisel Academy of Fine Arts “Art of the Dance” group show. In 2004 I was awarded signature status in the Pastel Society of the West Coast.I invite you to visit my site often as new work is added, representing the colors and textures, people and places in which I find inspiration.
