Biography
Welcome to my site, and thanks for visiting. .
Oh - and by the way Chet is a nickname of a nickname. I'm a wife, mom and grandma.

This all started when I was a college senior and told I would have to take some art credits in order to graduate. Well, as a biology major, I was far from happy at the news. However, here I am, years later and smiling.
To be honest, I don't really remember what awards I have won through the years. I have won a significant number from the Art Association of Old Greenwich (CT)--at least four first place and Kent Art Association (first place, oils) and CT Classic Artists best in show (this organization may be defunct now as I can't find it on a search). I have been represented for ten years (or so) at the Greenwich Art to the Avenue Show in Greenwich, CT.
I have also been represented in some national shows: New Haven Paint and Clay, Audubon Artists (honorable mention), The Catharine B. Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, the Salmagundi Club and some I can't even think of.
Painting is my passion. I'm up most nights until 2:00am doing my stuff, so the business side gets short shrift. I don't enter a lot of shows.
In the end, though, it all comes down to the artwork itself.
I try to capture the beauty, the humor and the stories that are all around us.
