Cheri was born in California and raised in a home surrounded by art.  Her father, a professional artist, was her teacher and mentor at a young age, taking her to art museums and galleries where she grew and progressed  to love art ,eventually showing in galleries with her father . Her formal training continued at the prestigious Art Center College of Design in L.A., majoring in Architectural Illustration, Scottsdale Artists School in Arizona ,Watts Atelier and with many nationally known artists such as Michael Shane Neil (Portrait Artist for the White  House), Jeremy Lipking, Harley Brown, Jeff Watts, Ken Auster, Tom Browning and many others have provided her inspiration.
Her paintings have won many awards and are in private collections across the United States and abroad.
Cheri’s paintings are full of light and lively brush strokes catching the essence of each subject with brilliant colors. She paints Alla Prima (wet  into wet) so her technique gives spontaneity and freshness. Viewers have expressed that her gardens gives them such a feeling of peace that they could walk into the painting.
“Art has always been my passion.  I love to paint from real life and be out in nature, to see how light falls on the subject and color harmonizes. I want to catch the essence of the subject to pass on to the viewer. It is a blessing and my desire to capture just a touch of the beauty the Master Artist has created in his creation around us.  Art is a gift to be shared with others.”
