I paint primarily in oils (as well as in acrylics, gouache and pastels).  I learned to love nature and rural landscapes at an early age, and it is my passion - I want to capture those brilliant moments that inspire me.  Whether it is on the coast of Maine or rural Europe, the landscape is always speaking to me. In 2003, I was invited by the Curator of the State of Vermont for a solo exhibition to help celebrate Howard Dean's tenure as Governor. I had fun being commissioned twice (2003 & 1999) to provide cover art for the Vermont City Marathon. My paintings are included in the book, The Art of Lake Champlain (2009) and was selected for the book 100 Artists of New England by Ashley Rooney (2011).
I received my BA from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts with a minor in Fine Arts. I have had the privilege of studying painting with various national artists including the Plein Air Painters of America; Ned Mueller, Colin Page to name a few. I am a juried member of Oil Painters of America and the Hudson Valley Art Association.
I have exhibited regularly in group and solo shows in a number of galleries over the years as well as in competitions and invitationals. Having been represented by a number of galleries - I have been painting professionally for over 20 years -   my work is in hundreds of corporate and private collections worldwide.  I have moved [...]
