Carol was raised in Tyler, Texas.  She earned a degree in art from the University of Mississippi and studied privately for over twenty years with portrait artist Ruth Munson of Houston, Texas.
A professional artist in Houston, Texas for 19 years, Carol has exhibited extensively in the southwest area.  She was a featured artist in the Nellie Connally Tenth Annual Tri-Delta Show for Charity, Hats Off to the Arts, the Children’s Charity Benefit of Houston as well as other group and private exhibitions.  While painting a variety of subjects, Carol especially enjoys capturing the unique personality and expressions of people and animals on canvas as wells the beauty of nature.  Mixing realism with a touch of impressionism, her paintings are alive with intense color.  Her work is included in the private collections of former President and Mrs. George Bush, Dr. and Mrs. Denton Cooley, Mr. and Mrs. Baine Kerr, Mrs. Bing Crosby, the late Mr. Hugh Liedtke, former CEO of Pennzoil, the late Mr. Mike Walsh, former CEO of Tenneco, Senator and Mrs. Kevin Eltife, as well as many others.
She was commissioned by the Gulf Coast Conservation Association of Houston, San Antonio, and Corpus Christi, Quail Unlimited, Pennzoil Corporation, Vermejo Park Ranch in New Mexico, Equitable Bank of Dallas, Friendswood Banking Center, Second Baptist Church of Houston, and St. Luke’s Methodist Church of Houston, as well as various business establishments including Pappas Restaurants, Inc. of Dallas and Houston. Her paintings were featured at the Longview Museum of Fine Arts regional show. 
Her most recent commission is Mr. Frank Tucker of Houston, past President of Mustang Cat of Houston, and portraitspof ast Presidents of University of Texas in Tyler, Dr. James Stewart, Dr. George Hamm, and Dr. Ron Mabry and Peggy and Neal Garland which hangs in the Garland Building of University of [...]
