After graduating from College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Carol’s journey to becoming an artist began with her study of Photography at Community Colleges. She specialized in Portraiture and used this knowledge as a means to capture the mood, atmosphere and flavor of the many cultures she encountered while traveling and living abroad for many years.
In 1998, she began her career in art by painting her favorite photographic images-starting first in watercolor and progressing to oils and acrylics. Her earliest paintings were florals and landscapes, followed by experimentation in abstracts. At present, she has a renewed interest in realistic portraiture, as well as in combining figurative work with her abstracts.
Carol has attended many workshops and fine art classes across the country and enjoys entering local and national art shows. Since 2008, she has received many awards in the 61 Judged Shows she has entered, of which 17 were Juried Shows.
