An example of fine art by Carol Newbury Swisher

Photo of Carol Newbury Swisher

Carol is known for her knowledge and love of wildlife and uses oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, and pen and ink to create her diverse originals. She also uses clay and wax to create her bronzes. When visiting her studio you might find her working in pastel to capture the watchful eyes of a mother wolf protecting her pups, or oil to portray the wisdom of an old man, his face lined and framed by the white hair that crowns his head. Another visit might find her using clay or wax to form the image of a seasoned old bison, nostrils flaring and tail raised preparing to defend himself. Carol is self taught and emphasizes that the years in her father's logging camps were invaluable to learn the ways of all the wildlife she loves.
Carol is published by The Paradise Gallery and her work is collected worldwide.
