The Artist Says:


Carole has lived and traveled extensively throughout North America, Europe and the Middle East, and  bring her cross cultural experiences home to her easel. 
Although she paints daily in her studio, plein air painting, is one of her passions.  She often use these little studies to complete larger paintings in her studio.   She prefers working directly from the source. Her goal is to capture  an impressionistic “essence” of the subject.
 
Carole Abla was born in Santa Rosa, California.  At an early age she moved with her family to Missouri.  After maraige she moved to Beiruit, Lebanon, and several years later moved to Europe.   She later returned to Kansas, where she has continued her journey in art.  Carole attended Wichita State University, and spent the majority of that time studying the traditional styles of the landscape masters , such as Emile Gruppe, Edgar Payne, and Henry Henche.
 
Most of the time, Carole can be found painting en plein air in Kansas City, or in her studio where she currently resides.
 
Carole is often asked about her palette.  She uses a limited palette of only reds... yellows.... and blues plus white. Her philosophy is “less is more”.  This simple primary palette has taught her that she can arrive at almost any desired color.   This llimited palette ensures a stronger color harmony in each of her paintings.
Her paintings are found in private and corporate collections throughout the United States and Europe and the Middle East.
