Biography

I have loved drawing and painting since I was a child.  During high school, I enrolled in art classes and learned to work with oil and acrylic paints.  A part time job at the public library also provided a chance to draw bookmarks and posters for the children's room.

After dabbling in watercolor paints, I fell in love with this medium.  I continued to learn all I could about watercolor painting through the internet, watercolor instruction books, and DVD's.  I studied color theory and watercolor techniques.  My paintings are created with lightfast transparent watercolor pigments and archival materials.  Along with painting nature in a realistic style, I am also designing wedding invitations and cards.

After working full time and raising a family, I decided to pursue my lifelong dream of painting full time.
