Bobbie Twydell is an award winning watercolorist from Southern California.   She has worked as a graphic artist, a designer, and in the education field as a K- 8th grade art educator. In 2010 she fell in love with the medium of watercolor and has been focused on it ever since.
Best known for her landscapes and garden paintings she enjoys the challenge to create a painting, of these common motifs, in a surprising and imaginative way.  Bobbie’s inspiration comes from her love and admiration for the greatest artist of them all, our Heavenly Father and the beauty He has created.  Whether this beauty is found in her backyard or while traveling, she paints to remind herself and others of the gift we’ve been given - to live in a world with such beauty.
Ms. Twydell has studied from the following accomplished watercolorists; Don Andrews, Carolyn Lord, Christopher Schink, and the late Chris Van Winkle, but  attributes most of her growth as a watercolorist from studying with friend, mentor and fellow artist, Sylvia Megerdichian.
Her work has been exhibited at Chaffey Community Museum of Art, Millard Sheets Center of the Arts, National Orange Show, and The Walker House. In addition she has been juried into the fine art shows of Mid Valley Art League, Associate Artists of the Inland Empire, and the Pomona Valley Art League.  She has received various awards for her paintings.
