Biography
"Me, the Moon and the Sea"
oil on canvas - 24 x 36 inches
The 25th anniversary of the Hubble Telescope rekindled my artistic expression. I am 72 and painted and sculpted for many years. In January of 2015, looking at the Hubble images on my computer, I was inspired to paint my own interpretation of the exquisite beauty of outer space. My series of canvases which I title "Nebula" are in oil. I blend my colors to capture the translucency of the nebula clouds and gases. My paintings, to my way of thinking, mirror my experience in art. I see Hubble's images as part of the greater Space Odyssey. Over the years, I have worked in various art forms, the composite of which is my odyssey, which is far from over. I have completed 13 paintings of space art, which gives me great joy. The whole process is a journey, not a destination, an art odyssey.
