"I am inspired not only by the beauty of nature, but also by man-made creativity, color, and form, and I especially love to combine them."
Her greatest pleasure is en plein air -painting on location- which has taken her to venues around her home area of Southern California, the American Southwest, Europe, Hawaii and South America.

An award-winning artist, Barbara's work has been juried into shows such as Art Splash, Echoes and Visions, Western Federation of Watercolor Societies, Women Artists of the West at The Ronald Reagan Library, Tucson Desert Museum, Arts for the Parks, and the Sedona Arts CenterShow.

Barbara has developed her art through personal study and with working professionals such as Timothy Clark, the late Roger Armstrong, Tony VanHasselt, Alvaro Castagnet, Joseph Zbukvic, and Vladislav Yeliseyev.
Walter Foster has published Barbara in two co-authored watercolor instruction books, as well as her own solo publication.
