Biography
Barbara Jones
Barbara lives in Corsicana, Texas with her husband, Mark. They have one daughter and three grandchildren who are a great inspiration for her artwork. She is both self taught and trained in Classical Realism. Barbara has studied with several classical artists and approaches every new subject as an opportunity to learn. She loves to paint in the Chiaroscuro style. Barbara has been awarded Signature Membership of Women Artists of the West, National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society, and Associated Creative Artists and Master Signature Artist of Texas.
Artist's Statement
The beauty of the ordinary is what I try to capture in my paintings. We are surrounded by unlimited opportunities to share with others the unique qualities of color, light and form that are part of our everyday lives. Too often we overlook the simple beauty of God's creations or pass them by.
