I have been fortunate to have had a rich and varied life which enriches my art. My exposure and love of multicultural influences shapes my outlook on life as well as my artistic bent. I am deeply grateful for being able to live life as an artist and constant learner.

Graduate of University of Hawaii, BA - Art History, BFA - Sculpture
1972 - 1978 - Graduate studies in Philosophy of Education, Eastern Religion, Transpersonal Psychology
1976-1979 - Assistant Director, Freshman Seminar Program, University of Hawaii 
1976 - 1979 - Seminar Leader, teaching freshman Introduction to Psychology, World Religion, and graduate seminars in Transpersonal Psychology
1980 - 1982 - Independent art studies, including study with Japan's Sacred Treasure, Minoru Fujimori, a seventh generation papermaker
1982 - 1987 - Self employed with husband, Michael Colombo, creating hand painted silk wearables, and featured with Michael on “Spectrum Hawai’i”, a PBS Artist Spotlight film on local artists, together their work won the "Hawai’i First Lady Fashion Award for Original Design in the Fashion Industry" in 1986.
1982 - 1985 - Workshop Instructor - Papermaking and various craft classes, Temari - Center for Pacific and Asian Art
1985 - 1986 - Assistant Director and Workshop Facilitator, Temari, Center for Pacific and Asian Art (non profit), an educational facility dedicated to preserving and teaching the traditional crafts of Asia and Polynesia
1986 - 1988 - Papermaking Instructor, Honolulu Academy of Art
1989 - 1991 - Vice President, Hawaii Craftsmen, a non profit, dedicated to promoting fine craft in the art community of Hawai’i
1988 - 1992 - Served on Board of Directors for Maitreya Institute, an educational institute founded by Tibetan Buddhists for ecumenical cultural and religious teaching
1984 - 1992 - Member of Pacific Handcrafter’s Guild, Participated in Guild shows and assisted in the jurying of prospective members
