 Born in Susanville, Ca she spent her formative years growing up in the ranching country of Northern, CA in the small town of Adin.It has been this horse and ranching background that provided Barbara Anne the insight to the subjects she portrays with a life like accuracy.  Working in pencil, colored pencil and oils she recreates images from her lifestyle that can make you feel like you are seeing it yourself for the first time.She has spent the last 40 years as a professional artist,participated in many juried shows and winning several top awards.
She has work published in the Best of Colored Pencil 2 [1993]
She was juried into the American Academy of Equine Art Show, Lexington, KY in 1993.  She has been a participating artist for several years in the Western Art Roundup, held in Winnemucca, NV.  Winning best of show in 1993 and winning the top award "The Buckaroo Heritage Silver Spurs" during the 2007 show.   She is a participating artist at the Draft Horse Classic Art Show in Grass Valley, California each year and the annual Red Bluff Bull & Gelding Sale Art Show Red Bluff, California.
She has much of her artwork in private as well as corporate collections with several limited edition prints.  She as taken workshops with wildlife artist Greg Beecham, Chad Poppleton and Julie Chapman.
Her work was included in" The Art Of The Cowboy" in the 2016 December issue of Western Art Collector magazine,  also in the  2018 May issue of the magazine " Art Of The Horse".
After the Camp Fire November 8, 2019 in Paradise, CA destroyed her home she move to Lake Almanor, CA.  Her work can be seen in the Blue Goose Gallery, Chester, CA.
