An example of fine art by Angela Morgan

Collectors Say:

Fairhope Artist Angela Morgan maintains a private studio a stone’s throw away from Mobile Bay, where she finds that a great deal of inspiration readily available along the Gulf Coast.  There is much natural beauty to be found in the tidal pools, beaches, marshes and waterways all along the coastline.

She is an oil painter, as well as a pastel artist.  She favors oils that are handmade using poppy oil, which offers longevity to a painting, as well as a non-darkening effect over time. She first took painting instruction sixteen years ago at the Alexandria Art League and at the Smithsonian.
She is a flexible artist and strongly feels that in these difficult days there should be no limitations on what we paint or how.  We should not be locked into a particular style of abstraction, impressionism, realism.  She believes in mixing It up, in always moving forward; that our taste is always changing; and that is why one week she paints vegetables from her favorite farm market, the next week perhaps a marsh or beach scene.
In today’s uncertain world, art helps to anchor you and bring balance and comfort to your life.  Art should make a statement about YOU at this stage in your life and should bring pleasure to your personal sanctuary, whether it be a beautiful photograph, a flower arrangement, a new painting or a riveting book.  We must work at comforting ourselves and others.
Every single day she enjoys the spectacular panorama put on by Mother Nature:  Heavy, scudding clouds dashing over grey water one day, flaming orange sunsets that turn the water electric blue the next.  And always looking forward to hydrangeas and roses in the summer ….
