I started drawing at a very young age. My Mother purchased the “how to” books and all the tools necessary to start my adventure with art.
I practiced as a child and had classes in Art while in High School but my true belief in my abilities as an artist came much later in life. After High School I set out to discover the world… or at least a little part of it. I moved just far enough from home to be “on my own” but close enough to visit regularly. That means I moved from the Southern NJ Shore to a small town just west of Philadelphia, PA.  From here other opportunities unfolded for me and I was able to live in NY, OK, TN, and NC before returning to my home… the Southern NJ Shore.
When I came back to my roots in 1984 I rediscovered my love of art. I purchased art materials and I could be found at my drafting table practicing with each and every spare moment I had in my day. Life has always taught me that hard work and a belief in ones abilities equals rewards. In the mid 1990’s I started taking classes at Richard Stockton University. Back then it was still a College. After a short time I was a full time student by day and worked in the Atlantic City Casino’s by night. In 1998 I graduated Summa Cum Laude, with Program Distinction,  from Richard Stockton College with a BA in Fine Arts, the concentration in Painting.
In 1999 I left the Casino Industry behind and started working with my partner at the time, now my husband, Peter C. Weiss. Peter is an architect and I work for him as an Office Manager and Designer. Having a family business does, at times, limit one’s [...]
