Maryland artist, Linda Perry, is a graduate of MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art) where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Art degree, majoring in painting. At that time she worked with Raoul Middleman and a small group of artists completing a mural painting displayed at Pimlico Racetrack in Baltimore. She also studied at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where she had the opportunity to work with commercial artist, Mario Lovergine, in Florence, Italy.
Perry produced several award winning paintings during an interim of working with a group of artists at the Tidewater Art Centre in Easton. Subsequently, she has had two solo shows of her work at the Church Alley Gallery in Easton and has exhibited in juried shows at Adkins Arboretum in Ridgely, Main Street Gallery in Cambridge, the Ocean City Art League, Maryland Federation of Art and Worcester County Arts Council. Her work is currently displayed at The Greyhound - An Indie Bookstore in Berlin and Bishop's Stock, Fine Art, Craft and Wine, in Snow Hill. She is also a signature member of ISAP as well as NOAP and ISEA.
"I paint in oils, acrylics and mixed media, using various tools such as found objects, sticks, kitchen utensils, paper, rags and brushes. I sometime build and stretch my own canvases and on occasion make my own frames. Music is a major  part of my  creative process. There is always music playing in my studio.
My painting consists of impressionist  landscapes and seascapes to abstracts to total non-representational pieces. Ranging in size from 4' x 6' to a small 4" x 6".
I draw much of my inspiration from my surroundings in the middle of a huge, quiet, peaceful farm where I reside with my husband , three extraordinary rescue canines and a crazy cat who adopted us! Animals have always been a big part of my life.
