Biography


 

 
RICHARD FERGUSON
Richard Ferguson, born and raised in Ohio, now makes his home between Columbus, Ohio and Bluffton, South Carolina.
 
His paintings are full of dynamic contrast, depth, and visual ideas to entertain and involve the imagination of the viewer. The bold use of color and texture demonstrate his study of and passion for abstract expressionism from the early Europeans to the contemporary New York artists. Richard works in acrylic, oil and mixed media in a variety of sizes and substrates, appealing to different buyers.
 
His art can be found in private collections, public spaces and regularly at charity fundraisers including The Alzheimer’s Foundation, Second and Seven Reading Foundation, and The Marburn Academy Foundation.
 
Richard studied art history at Widener University, Museum of Modern Art (MOMA ), courses with Nancy Reyner, John Beckley, Michael Lang and self-taught through on-line technology.
