Did you happen to click on the "Activate" link? If you did, then it does bill you for the first month. You really don't need to click on that until the end of the free trial.
However, your free trial resumes after that first paid month. In fact, by activating early, you received an additional 2 free months. Your next billing date is 11/6/2012. You can see all of this in the billing section of your Control Panel.
I am sorry the way I wrote this last night, but it made me pretty upset I had been charged even though the website said two months free. I tried to erase the forum and couldn't. I am okay with the membership issue now. I am very happy with that this there is a website like this. THank you for getting back to me.
