The Storm is Coming

by Doug Hoppes on 4/22/2014 7:14:37 AM

When the clouds start moving in fast, you want to be in that position of control. You want to know if a gallery calls you at a moment's notice with a show, you have 20 paintings for a show AND still be able to support the other venues where you sell your art. You want to be prepared for that storm. If you are prepared, it could be a fun ride with a lot of sales, lots of new customers, and lots of new opportunities. If you aren't prepared, you have a great chance of damaging your reputation, losing sales and losing some future opportunities. [...]

The Single Most Important Piece of Advice I Can Give You about Pursuing Your Art

by Carolyn Henderson on 4/21/2014 7:24:29 AM

In the Zone

by Ginger Whellock on 4/19/2014 9:31:35 AM

I have learned that my right brain (my creative side and the one that paints) is full of chaos and loves to be in the Zone BUT, I have to engage my left brain (analytical, organized and intellectual side) to access usable knowledge, keep me on target mentally and not wondering off somewhere in the chaos.
