Thanks, Brian. Interesting that the discussion touched upon the potential ramifications of artists having websites and blogs, and even blogging about hot button issues like politics. I do believe that when politics and art intersect--and they occasionally do--it is entirely appropriate for artists to blog about it. There is a freedom to representing yourself, and the freedom to develop opinions and to blog is part of it. I can see that there might be a conflict of interest, however, when an artist has a strong online presence and also wants gallery representation.
