Biography
Primarily a self taught artist, Mrs. Smith enjoys painting using several types of mediums. Her most successful works have proven to be vivid abstract watercolors, although she has enjoyed working in oils and pastels as well. She began painting 20 years ago in Albuquerque, NM and was very influenced by Georgia O'Keeffe's belief that "If you want realism, take a picture." She now resides in Tampa FL where she lives with her husband and adult son, 'guarded' by two rescued Basset Hounds, George and Gracie, who take their place in her studio.
