Biography
Niki has taken art classes since the third grade. She studied art at the Universityof Florida and received a Bachelor of Design Degree. She worked for several years as a commercial artist.Niki became very interested in the impressionist painters and the effects of light and color.
Niki began taking classes and painting , studying with Ray Vinella, Kevin McPherson, Don Ward, Ovanes Berberian, Ron Rencher, Ann Templeton and Liz Maness. Niki started painting full time. She enjoyed a month of painting in Plein-Air in the Greek Islands. She enjoyed painting in Monet's Garden and in the south of France, and recently spent a month painting in Italy.
Niki has been juried into the prestigious OIL PAINTER'S OF AMERICA as an Associate member. She is also a founding member of Plein Air Austin. She has been juried into The Capital Arts Society in Austin, Texas and is an Asscociate member of the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club in New York City, New York.
Niki has shown her work in the Texas State Capitol,and the Govenor's Mansion. She was selected to be in "The Best and Brightest" Show in Scottsdale Arizona. She has shown her work from Naples, Florida to Canyon Road in Santa Fe, New Mexico and several places in between.
