Biography
Nancy Elstad's art career began quite a few years ago when she decided with a friend to start a faux painting business in the DFW area. They studied in some of the best schools from New York to Florida to Seattle, taking classes on many subjects, Trompe L'oeil, Murals, wall texturing, wall glazing, marbling columns.
Many of their jobs were for professional baseball players, golfers and football stars! Nancy and her partner painted all over the DFW metroplex and met some really great people along the way.
The last few years Nancy has been working mostly with her feet planted firmly on the ground and not in a scissors lift 15 feet in the air or on scaffolding equally as high.
Nancy turned to painting oils on canvas, at the easel in the studio or on location outdoors. Nancy has taken oil painting classes from great teachers and is as passionate about the canvas painting as she was about the mural and faux painting. Same thing, just smaller!
