Artist Michael Cagno
“I want my works to capture the spirit and emotion of the subject by using splashes of color. I embrace painting because of its unpredictability. It is the accident, the unforeseen which by chance can be pursued, and elevates the work from the ordinary to the magical. Michael has been instrumental in creating the Glasstown Center Arts District and the Riverfront Renaissance Center for the Arts in Millville, NJ. He served as the Executive Director of the Riverfront Renaissance Center for the Arts from 2000-2006. Currently, Michael is the Executive Director of The Noyes Museum of Art of Richard Stockton University (www.noyesmuseum.org). Michael serves as an adjunct professor at The Richard Stockton University of New Jersey and Cumberland County Community College and is a Board Member of NJ Art Pride, South Jersey Cultural Alliance and the Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums.
