2016:  My oil painting, "Rhythm and Blues," was selected as part of the FAV15% (jury's favorite 15% of the entries) in the Fine Art Views Painting competition through Fine Art Studio Online.
 
2016: My oil painting, "Nuances," won the 1st Place Award in the painting category of the Hometown Crafts Teachers' Art Show
 
2016, 2013, 2004, and 2001:   "Artist of the Year" by Kerrville Art Club (juried award)
 
2015: My oil painting, "Blushing Beauties" won the 1st Place Award (Painting Category) in the Hometown Crafts - Teachers' (Judged) Art Show.
 
2015: My pastel painting, "Peaches and Cream," won the 2nd Place Award (Drawing and Pastel Category) in the KACC Annual Juried Images Show.
 
2015:  My oil painting, "Commonality," won Kerrville Art Club's *Members' Choice Award* at the KAC Annual Show and Sale.

What inspires me:In my current work, I am focusing on the simple yet intimate still life. Capturing the colors of vibrant fruit and vegetables challenges me, and I enjoy depicting reflections seen in metallic vessels, ceramic pottery, or on shiny tabletops.
