Biography
Growing up with a father that was a veterinarian, Leea K. Arnold grew up around a variety of animals. This interest in animals that began at an early age never waned. Following in her fathers footsteps, she graduated from Tuskeegee University in 1989 with a doctorate of veterinary medicine. Leea currently owns and operates a practice in Weatherford, Texas that specializes in equine reproduction and embryo transfers. This type of practice is somewhat seasonal, which allows her to concentrate on vet work 7 months out of the year and art the other 5 months.
Art was always an area of interest to Leea, but had to be put on the back burner until 1991. Leea began by taking drawing lessons with an equine artist, Marsha McDonald. She started sculpting in 1993 with Scott Meyers, D.V.M. of Granbury, Texas. Leea has also studied with a long list of the country's finest western, wildlife and figurative artists, including Mehl Lawson, Richard Loeffler, Bob Kuhn, Cammie Lundeen, Jim Norton, Garland Weeks, Mary Hicks, Tuck Langland, Eugene Daub and Don Mullins. Leea feels that "Theses artists have contributed greatly to my progress and success as an artist. I am drawn to the human and animal form because it is nature at is finest."
Leea exhibited her work in the Horse of Course gallery in Loveland, Colorado in 1995.She is currently showing her work at her office in Weatherford, Texas. Her goals are to continue to grow as an artist thru life study and practice. She is branching out and adding jewelry making to her resume.

"Clint Watson has made it very easy for artists to bring their work to the public.
Obviously the internet is an important marketing component for the artist.
For a luddite like me FASO is the way to go.
There is always a support team available, we get to talk to real people to solve our web site needs.
I don't have the skills or time to develop a website. I should paint not spend time on a computer."
"A website is one of the most valuable tools to market paintings for artists of our time.
I recommend FASO to every artist who is still struggling with all the difficulties in creating and maintaining their website.
FASO is so well designed it will show your paintings professionally while still being extremely user friendly.
I feel bad for all the artists not using FASO yet."
"My art career has really been growing by leaps and bounds since I've been doing more with the website.
So thanks for dragging me into the high tech world kicking and screaming. Now all I need is a secretary"
