Biography
Inspired by her high school teachers and a theater group that was part of her world as a young child, she grew up sketching, dreaming, designing and creating.
Following a traumatic and painful incident that took place when she was in her twenties, she picked up a paintbrush and began to paint, working with acrylics and oils to create large format works that convey themes of hope and perseverance. She believes her work is a gift from God that has helped her to heal and which gives her hope for the future.
Inspired by her own experiences, and to share hope and resilience with others, Vargas is supporting the Autism Society of Colorado, Hope's Promise, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through sales of select prints.
