Biography
I am Baton Rouge native, and known for being a romantic realist with a passion for capturing the beauty I see in life. I strive for the truthfulness of colors and designs that nature provides. My still lifes are painted directly from life. Landscapes are started on location and finished in my studio. Nature is the best teacher and her beauty can't be topped. My chosen medium is oil but I love to work in pencil and enjoy gouache as well. My forte is painting the still life in oil with traditional landscapes coming in a close second. I find endless still life compositions in my own home, kitchen, and gardens. I am absolutely astounded with Louisiana landscapes, especially the ones that encompass the live oak. I find great inspiration indoors and outdoors.
Drawing the figure from life keep my drawing skills sharp, and sound compositions are attributed to learning from the old masters, Vermeer, Corot, Chardin, Constable, Peter Paul Rubens, and William Trost Richards, among others. I am a full time artist and teach oil painting classes in my studio and also teach workshops nationally.
I’m a full member of the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, a member of Oil Painters of America, the American Artists Professional League, the Laguna Plein Air Society, the Baton Rouge Art League, Associated Women in the Arts and the New Orleans Art Association. This year I was juried into and became a member of the International Guild of Realism. I have won awards internationally, nationally and regionally. My work is owned in private and corporate collections. I have [...]

"Clint Watson has made it very easy for artists to bring their work to the public.
Obviously the internet is an important marketing component for the artist.
For a luddite like me FASO is the way to go.
There is always a support team available, we get to talk to real people to solve our web site needs.
I don't have the skills or time to develop a website. I should paint not spend time on a computer."
"A website is one of the most valuable tools to market paintings for artists of our time.
I recommend FASO to every artist who is still struggling with all the difficulties in creating and maintaining their website.
FASO is so well designed it will show your paintings professionally while still being extremely user friendly.
I feel bad for all the artists not using FASO yet."
"My art career has really been growing by leaps and bounds since I've been doing more with the website.
So thanks for dragging me into the high tech world kicking and screaming. Now all I need is a secretary"
"Your software is amazing! Thank you.
I just put a new painting onto my web site and it was so easy.
have made the job a piece of cake. Good job."
