Artist Debra Pero
The Artist Says:
Just like when I was a kid, I like to draw and paint and go outside and play! Life is good!
Deb, her husband, and various furry and feathered friends have made a recent move across the country from New England to the beautiful Land Of Enchantment, sunny New Mexico. There is so much to see and to paint! Now that boxes are (finally!) unpacked, Deb is busy in the studio and hiking aorund with her new Soltek easel, capturing the landscape en plein air...
I consider this creative energy within me a God-given gift, and myself a steward of that gift, so I work as hard as I can, dedicating myself to constant learning and improvement in my craft. How fortunate am I to be able to spend my time in such a wonderful endeavor!!! Painting is hard work, don't get me wrong, but it is also a joy, and something I feel like I was meant to do. Since our move out west, I'm stepping back from gallery obligations and trying to take some time to grow in my plein air skills and capturing the wonderful southwest light and color.
